# PortfolioCheck proposed standard physical-risk return schema

Version 0.2 — proposed pilot schema. This is not the official Bank of Ghana Paragraph 46 Standardized Climate-related Disclosure Template, which the 2024 Directive says will be issued with the ICAG.

## Purpose

The schema provides a consistent physical-risk module that can be configured for a national supervisor without claiming that one jurisdiction’s legal return is automatically valid in another. It separates bank-supplied facts, engine-generated results, supervisory decisions and methodological metadata.

## Modules

| Module | Contents | Responsibility |
|---|---|---|
| A. Institution and filing | Legal entity, licence type, reporting period, currency, contact | Institution |
| B. Governance and attestation | Board approval, accountable executive, preparer, independent review | Institution |
| C. Method and version | Engine version, parameter set, scenarios, assumptions, exclusions, submission hash | Institution and engine |
| D. Asset register | Geolocation, exposure, LTV, property type, insurance, construction, data quality | Institution |
| E. Physical-risk results | Hazard, score, band, confidence, exposure at risk, eligible AAL and credit indicators | Engine |
| F. Concentrations and scenarios | Region, hazard, correlated-event group and forward scenario results | Engine |
| G. Remediation and evidence | Measure, status, evidence stage, reviewer decision, expiry and effect | Institution and supervisor |
| H. Reconciliation and exceptions | Rejected rows, prior-period changes, overrides, restatements and unresolved findings | Institution |

## Design rules

1. No monetary loss is assigned from proximity alone.
2. Every generated value carries model, parameter and data-quality metadata.
3. Institution submissions remain segregated; supervisors see asset points only after selecting an institution.
4. System-level aggregates use institution results without publishing cross-institution property points.
5. Remediation is recognised only in a successive return after evidence assurance.
6. Restatements and overrides are additive records; prior submissions are not silently overwritten.
7. The schema is jurisdiction-configurable, but legal clause mappings remain jurisdiction-specific.
